Block Farm Editor is an Umbraco package designed to make building and maintaining block-based pages faster, more consistent, and more editor-friendly.
It focuses on a practical workflow: define blocks, compose pages visually, and reuse layouts to keep content consistent across your site.
The idea for Block Farm Editor came from a simple question: “Could I build a visual editor in Umbraco that’s easily extensible while providing a fully integrated visual experience?” As such, focus was placed on the editor experience and extensibility from the very beginning.
Block Farm Editor is created and maintained by Joshua Hess (Founder).
Joshua started coding at 12 and has worked professionally as a software engineer since 18. He currently holds a senior position on a development team at Heartland Business Systems.
The idea for Block Farm Editor began with a simple question: “Could I build a visual editor in Umbraco that’s easily extensible?”
Outside of work, Joshua is a husband and father. He married his wife in 2020, and together they’re raising three children. Like many families, they’ve walked through seasons that require a lot of endurance.one of their children has undergone a bone marrow transplant for a rare immune disorder. Joshua’s faith in Jesus is central to his life and has been a steady anchor through both career and family challenges.
His goal is to build tools that are pragmatic, maintainable, and focused on serving real teams and real editors.
